I have everything I want. Success. Wealth. Women…and make that plenty of those. As a filthy-rich CEO, I would say I’m pretty much close to perfection. Except for that one weakness: I’m cocky as hell, and an irresistible magnet for women.

So when one tiny mistake lands me in hot waters with the investors, I have one hell of a choice to make:
Restore my reputation…
Or risk losing my company.

I’m a man of my word and failure is not an option. Not now. Not ever. I fully intend to uphold my responsibilities.

Sharing an apartment should be easy, right? And it’s only for six weeks.
That’s what I thought before I found out that my new roommate is female.
And wow.
Vicky Sullivan is unlike any woman I’ve ever met.
She’s hot as sin, and crazy.
Definitely not my kind of crazy, but too hot to pass up.
There’s something about her that makes me rage with want.
I don’t like her, but obviously my dick does. And what he wants, he gets.

Six weeks…
Living together shouldn’t be too hard…
Until my best friend challenges me to a bet…
I make it my mission to make her mine.

There’s only one problem.
I have to break…Every. Single. Rule.
And did I mention she’s completely off-limits?

It’s too late to say no.

My Review:

Counting On You is a story about new beginnings in love and in life.

Not having read any other works by the authors before, I was really intrigued with the synopsis and just how well the authors were going to execute the story. Needless to say, I was impressed with how entertaining the story was. The beginning felt a bit flat for me, but it picked up the pace rather quickly and it all worked out in the end.

In the story we are introduced to Kaiden Wright, a successful CEO whose love for sex has gotten carried away, and now he is in trouble with his investors. They have an ultimatum, either he goes to rehab or lose his seat as CEO. Kade has worked hard for his company and he is not about to give it up for anyone. So it is then that Kade finds himself at a facility without any contact from the outside world or so everyone thinks. Yet it is the hilarious encounter with his roommate that would ultimately lead to his life changing forever. Vicky Sullivan has been through a lot in her life, and last thing she wants to do is be away from those that she loves, including the reason that got her sent to rehab, her ex. Now she desperately wants to get in contact with “the love of her life,” but that soon proves to be difficult when her addiction to love gets her locked up until she finishes the program. But when she finds out that she has a roommate and that it happens to be a guy that she can barely stand, it'll be up to the both to work together if they want to survive. When things start to get out of hand between them and she starts to fall for him, Vicky will have to make a choice in the end.

There is a lot of sexual tension and attraction in the book that had reading nonstop until the very end. I loved their banter and chemistry as well. As I mentioned before, the book wasn't as appealing at first but the pace picked up and so was their romance. Kade is not only wealthy, but he is also very attractive and that attracts women right away. He has put sex before thinking of having an actual relationship with one of them. It is until Vicky shows up that she brings out a new side of him that was sweet and caring. He cared for her in the facility and the ending of the story will shock/surprise you. There were times when I was a bit frustrated with Vicky and the decisions that she made throughout the story, but it all works out in the end. It was romantic and will definitely leave you wanting for more. :)
