My Review:

Not having read other books by Georgia Cates before, I was really impressed with the twists and turns of this book that had me completely hooked from the very beginning. Right when the book starts we get to meet Bleu MacAllister, a former agent whose only motive in life is to avenge her mother from a horrific crime that took her away from Bleu at a very young age. After years of training and studying The Fellowship, Bleu is finally ready to bring the crime organization down, including their leader. Yet, in order to kill the leader she needs to be invited into their world, and getting to Sinclair (the leader's son) would help her cause. Little did she know that Sin would prove to be something else all together, now she needs to find a way to put her feeling for him aside if she wants to get justice once and for all.

For Sinclair Breckenridge being next in line to becoming the leader of a major crime organization has been in his mind ever since he was born. He was brought up to think that he could be ruthless and be the best for his fellow fellowship members. But he wasn't expecting to run into Bleu at a bar, and find her attractive. He is immediately taken by her beauty and her ability to stand up to anyone, including him. As the two start to spend time with each other, the more he starts to realize that there could be more in life than just a life full of crime, and it is his duty to protect Bleu against those that are trying to hurt her no matter what.

I really enjoyed reading the first book the SIN trilogy, it was captivating from the very beginning, and I couldn't put it down until the very end. The characters are very similar, they get what they want and defend those that they love. Sin is ruthless, caring, playful, and protective. We get a lot more emotion from him than Bleu, yet it's very evident that they have chemistry from the first time they met. On the other hand, Bleu is determined and caring. Her mother's murder has been with her for a long time, and she believes that by killing her mother's killer will put an end to her misery. Yet at the same time, she wasn't expecting her trip to Scotland to change her life forever. Needless to say, when Sin discovers Bleu's plan thing start to change and it would be up to them to figure out if they can overcome whatever comes next. Overall, the plot was amazing, it has everything that a reader would want. It has drama, steamy scenes, suspense, and romantic scenes that will keep you reading until the very end. I would highly recommend reading this book, you will not regret it. :)

My Rating:

ABOUT THE AUTHOR:

Georgia resides in rural Mississippi with her wonderful husband, Jeff, and their two beautiful daughters. She spent fourteen years as a labor and delivery nurse before she decided to pursue her dream of becoming an author and hasn’t looked back yet. When she’s not writing, she’s thinking about writing. When she’s being domestic, she’s listening to her iPod and visualizing scenes for her current work in progress. Every story coming from her always has a song to inspire it. Representation: All questions regarding subsidiary rights for any of my books, inquiries regarding foreign translation and film rights should be directed to Jane Dystel of Dystel & Goderich.

Bleu MacAllister’s POV

“You better be worth all this work and waiting.” He nips my bottom lip and gives my ass another painful squeeze before turning to walk to his car.

Anticipation—it builds excitement and suspense. The brain really is a sexual organ, even for men. Sin is going to spend the next five days and nights fantasizing about what it’ll be like when he finally has me beneath him. Waiting is something he’s never had to do so this is another way of setting me apart from the others before me. It proves I’m worth the wait and far more than just fuckworthy.

Great review. I'm new to this author and book but I'm curious. Seems like a really good story. I like that you get a lot from the character and they're not fluffy lol.
