Her sisters have found wedded bliss with their wealthy,
wonderful dream men, but not Julietta Conte. She’s stayed
on terra firma as top executive of the family’s corporation,
La Dolce Famiglia bakery. Work is her passion, and her
trendy Milan apartment her sanctuary . . . until Sawyer
Wells, a masculine masterpiece in a suit, lures her out of
hiding with an irresistible offer: an exclusive partnership
with his international chain of boutique hotels.

Julietta’s been burned before—and trusting her brother-in-
law’s friend, whose powerful gaze alone has her
rethinking the best use of a conference room, is the
riskiest proposition. But with a once-in-a-career chance
to take the bakery global, will she mix stone-cold business
with red-hot seduction?

My Review:

The Marriage Merger is the fourth and last book of the Marriage to a Billionaire series by Jennifer Probst, this being said I didn't read the past three books in the series and I find that it really isn't necessary to read the last three books since this book can stand on its own. From the very beginning, I was immediately drawn to the premise of the story, and the cover. They were appealing and it seemed like a good story to read. Now the story is about Julietta and Sawyer, both characters have similarities and differences. They both are very much into their jobs. As CEO of a bakery, Julietta must continue to work in her family business to honor what her parents have worked for so many years. On the other hand, Sawyer is in the hotel industry, where he pretty much helps these hotels succeed against their competitors. Having experience working for the top hotels in the industry, Sawyer is interested in starting his own hotel chain with the help of Julietta's bakery business. When they met, it's evident that they have a strong connection and that is exactly what Julietta fears the most. She is not used to being weak and needy of a man. But as these two start to embark in a new business adventure, they soon find out that they just might be destined for each other.

The pace of the story is weak at first, then it starts to build up as we get to know more of Sawyer's past. As a reader, I can could that Sawyer was the one that had to grow the most. His character is strong and dominant from the very beginning, but his past is what changes him in the end. I love their interactions, and how they are unable to keep away from one other. I think the author does a really good job with the setting of the story. Italy doesn't seem like a place where we see a lot of romance, so it was nice to see how the author use the place and language to her advantage. The story is beautifully written, which makes the story that much more interesting to read. I really enjoyed seeing the growth of both characters, and I'm looking forward to reading more of Jennifer Probst. I recommend this book to those that are a looking for a good contemporary romance story.
