She's also attending high school - balancing trigonometry, history, and recruiting souls for her father along with her wicked half-sister, Venus.

My Review:

*The book was provided by the author/book-tour for an honest review*

Angels, Demons, Betrayal, Love, Lust and a great Sacrifice.

All of those elements made up the whole world of The Morning Star. As an angel/demon lover, I tend to read books that are all the same in their own way. With this book, I was pleasantly surprised to see a new take on Angels and Demons. The story was uniquely made and well-written. I loved it from the start (and that says a lot from the author). She was able to create fresh characters that I haven't seen before and it was exciting to read something new. With that said, the story evolves around Dawn, a high school student, who is anything but a regular girl. As the daughter of Lucifer, she and her half-sister Venus have lived for centuries recruiting souls for their dad. Apart from having awesome powers, they are different in their own ways. Dawn, is not only the daughter of Lucifer, but she is also the daughter of an angel. On the other hand, Venus is part demon and part siren (daughter of a succubus). With their differences aside, they are still two wickedly sisters that are on a hunt for souls and do the right thing (being bad) for their dad, Lucifer. Living as students in the human world is not always fun for the sisters, especially for Dawn since she is part good, it's sometimes hard for her to do bad things for her father. But it all changes when a exchanged student, Gabriel, comes to their school and starts pursuing Dawn. With the looks of an angel, Dawn is immediately attractive to him, which it is because of that attraction that a lot of problems come along as well. Overall, I really enjoyed reading this book, it has everything in a book that I look for and it makes it a must-read on my list. I love the personalities of the characters and the mystery. Although in the ending we were left with a huge cliffhanger, it makes sense if there is going to be another book in the series.

I can't wait to read what happens next and see where Dawn and Gabriel end up in the future.
